We have moved our NTEGRA scanning probe microscope (SPM) into our new Ultra-Low Noise laboratory in the basement of McGlothlin–Street Hall. The SPM is mounted in a custom-designed, suspended vibration isolation system in order to further reduce the impact of environmental influences.

The already impressive performance of the NTEGRA is further improved under these conditions. The noise level of the instrument is now significantly below 1 Å in all three dimensions.
